BASINGSTOKE Town young guns will be up for challenge to dent Hereford’s title hopes when they travel to the Camrose on Saturday.

The leaders have the best away league record with just once loss.

With six straight league wins at home, Town are a match for anyone on home soil and would love to avenge a 4-1 defeat.

The biggest crowd of the season is expected and for this reason the ground will be segregated.

Town will be minus striker Ben Wright, who has joined Gosport on a month’s loan, while Sam Smart is a doubt.

Manager Terry Brown said: “Ben’s loan saves us money and also means he will get first team football. I think for Hereford I will pick the most physical side I can. I felt at their place, it was very much men against boys.

“I have been telling the lads this is the biggest game left this season and our aim is to finish in the top 10.”

Town are currently tenth in the table.

On Tuesday night, Town entertain Bishop’s Stortford with former Reading striker Jamie Cureton amongst their team.
