VIKING Ladies A continued their unbeaten start and stretched their lead at the top of the Ladies 4 League to three points with a 4-2 win over Phoenix Ladies.

With the match level at 2-2, wins for Juliet MacAskill and Jo Berry in game five and Alison Crawford and Deborah Vincent in game 6 saw Viking Ladies A over the line, with both games going the distance.

Andover Sports Ladies are still looking for their first win of the campaign following a 5-1 defeat against Waverley A.

Waverley A represented by Hannah Scott, Rachel Richards, Davinity Powis and Sarah Fenton were too strong for Andover Sports on the night although Val Wheeler and Joanne Crome did prevent the whitewash by winning a closely fought three-ender.

Andover Ladies represented by Karen Causley, Sue Clarke, Qili Pan and Nikki Fletcher moved into third place with a 4-2 victory over bottom side Beechdown B.

BH Pegasus A won their fourth match to move into third place in Open Division One, following a narrow 5-4 win over Andover Sports A.

A final rubber win for Ramsay Domloge/Rob Clayburn to complete their hat-trick and a brace from Nick Reid/Martin Davey clinched victory, Adam Turner and his partner notched two rubbers in a losing cause.

Leaders Challengers stretched their lead in Open Division Two to 11 points by beating bottom side BH Pegasus B 9-0.

There were clean sheets from Venkitram Vaidhyanathan/Jayasankar Veetil, Praveen Bandkakli/Navraj Rai and Vikesh Muralidharan/Manoj George as Challengers maintained their 100 per cent record.

Viking B are now only one point behind leaders Beechdown B in Mixed Division Two following a narrow 5-4 win over Aldermaston, albeit having played one game more. A hat-trick from Simon Williamson/Deborah Vincent including a ninth rubber decider and a brace from Chris Powell and Juliet MacAskill saw Viking B over the line, with David Ord and Kate Heathcote winning two rubbers for the losing side.

Leaders Beechdown B stretched their lead to seven points following a 6-3 win over Andover Sports B.

The main scorers for the leaders were Chris Meakin and Nikki Acton with three rubbers and Mark Bayliss and Sandra Smith with two. Bottom side Phoenix B lost their fourth match in a row with a 7-2 defeat to Beechdown C.

A treble from Tim Jefferies and Sam Hamilton and braces from Mike de Sousa and Sue Nolan and Tim Williams and Sally Thompson saw Beechdown C home.

The BDBL Junior Singles took place last weekend and was played in a great spirit. In the schools final Nathan Johnson beat Matthew Eastick 21-9, although the match was closer than the score suggests.

The colleges final was won by Ricky Stephens who beat Sam Hayes 21-19. The two winners then played off for the singles shield which was won by Nathan Johnson by 21-19 following a gripping match that could have gone either way.
