BASINGSTOKE Town wrapped up their friendly home campaign with a 4-1 victory over visiting Southall.

The visitors included Hartley Wintney hitman Ross Cook, as well as former Portsmouth and Town player Rowan Vine as player/manager.

However, the home side took the lead after 12 minutes, thanks to a great free-kick from Aaron Jarvis.

Southall levelled things from a corner as Max Elwood was given a free header.

The Dragons roared back as Jarvis was the provider for Ben Wright to continue his rich vein of pre-season form with another goal.

Early in the second-half, a nice lay back from striker Wright saw former Hartley man Dean Stow hit the post with a shot.

The home side then extended their lead from Marcus Johnson-Schuster, as he fired into the top corner.

Town completed the 4-1 win from Dan Bayliss, following a cross from Charlie Kennedy.

The Dragons are next in action at Farnborough on Saturday (3.30pm), when they face Fleet Town in the semi-finals of the O'Neills Cup.

The other final four game starts at 1pm, when Farnborough take on Hartley Wintney.

Then on Sunday, there is the third and fourth place game at 1pm with the final at 3.30pm.
