SHAY Bradley had a great day with bat and ball as leaders Silchester won their Hampshire League Regional Division One North East top of the table clash at Ashfield Hill.

The visitors batted first and Bradley top scored with 44, which included one six and four fours, while opener Kyle Lang (36) was also amongst the runs, in a winning total of 210-8.

In reply, Ashford kept up with the run rate, before spinners Bradley (4-24) and Kieran Brace (5-25) did the damage, as they were bowled out for 131.

Overton II (112-5) won at Easton and Martyr Worthy III by five wickets.

Odiham and Greywell II (109) lost to visiting East Woodhay by five wickets, as Bruce Applin took 4-25.

Old Basing (185) went down by six wickets at Donnington and Rotherwick ITW (178-8) lost by 102 runs at Ropley II Ross Andrews scored 82, but it was all in vain as Kingsclere were bowled out for 154 and lost by 10 wickets to visiting Fair Oak III.

St Mary’s maintained top spot in Division Two North East with a four wicket win at Crown Taverners II.

Second placed Oakley II kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 62-run success over visiting Ramsdell II.

Alex Ogden with an unbeaten 58 which saw six sixes. helped the home side to 247 as Mark Gibson took 4-54.

John Munday hit a spirited 70 in reply as Ramsdell reached 183-3.

Hook and Newnham Basics IV (147-7) enjoyed a 34-run win over AWE Tadley, as Luke Simpson took three wickets in their all out total of 113.

Basingstoke and North Hants V (117) lost by six wickets to Cove IV.

Charlie Puddifant scored 59 in Hartley Wintney III’s total of 125, as they went down by five wicket at home to Sparsholt III.

In Division Three North East, Herriard II (113-6) won at Froxfield who they bowled out for 112.

Hook V’s 154 lost by 19-run at Liss II and Barry Monger took all three wickets in the Aldershot IV innings, but Ashford Hill (145-6) went down by seven wickets.
