THE Basingstoke Bison have added even more firepower for the coming season, with the signing of one of the National Ice Hockey League's top forwards Ashley Jackson.

Jackson becomes the second player this summer to join from Invicta Dynamos.

Last season, the British forward finished in the top 10 scorers for South One, as returned an impressive 37 points from 20 games hitting the net 18 times.

He also played a big part in the Dynamos play-off winning campaign, as he returned 10 points from six games equally split between goals and assists.

This was the 29-year-olds first full season for the Kent side, due to the fact that Jackson is also one of the top field hockey players in Britain.

He is Great Britain and England's all-time leading goal scorer with 133 goals and has played 234 times for his country having made his debut at 19.

The forward also played in the last four Olympic games, including last year's one in Rio.

Bison head coach Doug Sheppard talking about the latest addition to his team said: "He is a world class athlete and wants to commit to ice hockey. He is a very good player and I look forward to seeing him in a Bison shirt this season."
