TRON missed out on a place in the final of the Kelvin Cup last Sunday, as they were beaten 4-2 on penalties by Nether Wallop.

The game was goalless after 90 minutes and extra time last Sunday.

Tron's Ross Cook and Harry Cook managed to score their penalty kicks, but the Andover side netted all theirs for the victory.

Tron have the chance to avenge the defeat when the sides meet again in the Andover Presidents Cup semi-final in April.

The top of the table clash in Division Two, between Chineham and Hampshire Irons, was a hard-fought game played in tricky windy conditions that Irons was able to edge on the day, winning 2-0.

James McIntosh set up the first goal for Jordan Grant's strike from outside the box for a half-time lead.

Then Steve Bown passed to Grant for his second goal to seal the points and go clear at the top.

James Arnold and Tom Chant put in good performances in defence for Irons.

North Warnborough Reserves romped to a 7-1 win away at Overton United in Division Three.

Jack McGee opened the scoring for the hosts with the only goal of the first half.

Tom Davies doubled the lead on 50 minutes, before Tom Davies got his second from the penalty spot.

Five minutes from time, Jason Williams made it four without reply. McGee, who started the ball rolling in the first half, scored three more in as many minutes as Overton's resistance collapsed, to make it 7-0.

Then, bizarrely on 89 minutes, Overton launched a hopefully shot from the halfway line and Ryan Thorpe, Boro's leading goalscorer who stood-in for the usual goalkeeper, miscontrolled the ball which ended up in the net and it was put down as an own goal.
