TADLEY Calleva warmed up in fine style for their Wessex League Cup tie at Team Solent this evening with a 6-0 win at East Cowes Vics.
The Division One will be hoping for a giant killing tonight against their Premier rivals in the quarter-finals of the competition.
On the Isle of Wight on Saturday, everything went to plan as the visitors scored three goals in each half.
Hat-trick man Brett Denham opened the scoring after four minutes, as he headed in Sam Hamilton's cross.
Spencer Barlow netted a second, with a tap in from a corner and Denham added a third before the break.
Sub James Tennant scored two excellent headers after the break, to make it 5-0.
It was then left to Denham with the pick of the six goals, to complete his hat-trick with an overhead kick.
In the last 15 minutes, Callum Bush was given a run out in his first game back since a bad knee injury.
After the game, manager Danny Dolan said: "It was a great win against a much improved East Cowes side and it was nice to keep a clean sheet again.
"This evening is a cup game - we are underdogs, but anything can happen."
