BASINGSTOKE Town will be looking to carry on their winning ways when they entertain Biggleswade Town in the Southern League Premier Division at home on Saturday.

The Dragons enjoyed a 3-2 victory on Tuesday night, after losing at St Neots 2-1 last Saturday.

Town manager Terry Brown said: “I felt we played poorly at Hayes and won, but there have been times this season when I felt we have played well and lost. This is what happened at St Neots.

"we are inconsistent, but of course this is because we are young side and it goes with the territory."

The win moved Town up to 13th in the table and the visitors are only three places above.

Brown is hopeful that injured midfielder Nana Owusu will be back for Saturday’s game after being injured at St Neots He also has a number of players carrying knocks which forced Sam Deadfield to come off at half-time against Hayes and this is why Dan Collier only played 45 minutes.

Looking ahead to the game, Brown said: “After losing 6-1 in our last game at home, it would be nice to win in front of our own fans."
