TADLEY Calleva returned to winning ways with a great come from behind 3-2 victory in the Wessex League Cup against visiting Christchurch on Tuesday night.

All five goals in the contest came after the break, with the Dorset side opened the scoring with a well struck free-kick.

Tadley striker Brett Denham levelled things, but Jason Kingston then gave away a penalty and Christchurch took a 2-1 lead on the hour mark.

With 20 minutes left, Tadley boss Danny Dolan made a double switch which saw 18-year-old Connor Thorne and Danny Vickers.

The home side then equalised again, as another teenager Callum Thomas provided the cross and Denham to head in.

The two subs then linked up for the late winner as Vickers' cross was put away by Thorne for the 3-2 win.

A delighted Tadley boss Dolan said: "It was nice to get back to winning ways and hopefully we can continue this form into the league. We have to make sure we keep winners otherwise the leaders are going to get away from us."

On Saturday, Tadley return to Wessex League Division One action when New Milton are the visitors.
