KENNET Osprey were at Bowsaw Lake on Sunday last where Steve Hunt scored with 101lb 10oz of carp on pole and paste.

Raphael Socha 'cocoa tin' caught 101lb on the feeder for second spot, Simon (the God) Kiefers’ 83lb 8oz was third followed by 'Top Two' Terry Bowles with 81lb. Twenty four fished and caught.

Oxoid AC went to Witherington Farm for their latest match and Pete Lovegrove won it with 53lb 12oz of carp on long pole and pellet.

Del Baulsoms’ 23lb 10oz of mixed fell to the feeder whilst Mick Cooper caught carp and bream for 23lb 9oz on pole and paste close in. Eleven fished and caught.

Basingstoke Railway Club Piscatorials and Staceys Fishing Club organised a charity match in aid of St Michaels Hospice last weekend and with five club matches on five venues it was a busy Sunday for event organiser Keith Brown, the results are as follows.

Adventure AS were on Willow Pool and Graham Spiller topped out with 84lb 8oz followed by Robin Guppy on 50lb, Mike Allan weighed in 47lb 12oz with Nick Sargent on 40lb 8oz. Sixteen fished.

Basingstoke Railway Club fished at Whitehouse Lake where Keith Brown weighed in 26lb 8oz followed by Rob Carr on 15lb 2oz and Brian O’Donnell with 13lb 3oz. Fourteen fished.

Staceys Match Group fished at Soke Road Pits and it was Dan Butler who won with 32lb, Matt Butler was second with 27lb 12oz followed by Kevin Roberts on 25lb 6oz and Steve Davis with 22lb. Thirteen fished.

Camrose AC were at New Barlows Lake where Paul Bassinder won with an even 38lb, Dave Bosher and Bill Atkinson both recorded 31lb 8oz whilst John Timney put 31lb 2oz in the sack. Thirteen fished.

South Reading Fishing Club went to Old Barlows Lake and Graham Chapman won the match with 40lb 4oz, Tony Green weighed in 27lb whilst Craig Brown caught 25lb. Ten fished.

Thanks must go to Bato Baits and Tadley Angling who donated prizes for the raffle and match winners, all the anglers who were mugged for raffle money by Mick Brown, Lyn Matthews for feeding everyone and of course event organiser Keith Brown who put it all together.
