BASINGSTOKE Town’s Spades have moved two and a half points clear of Howard Park at the top of Whitchurch and District League Division One.
They beat Alton in a re-arranged match 70-45, but lost to Old Basing Cavaliers 45-42 last Wednesday.
Howard Park A overcame a spirited Littleton Leopards team 48-38 to take four and a half points.
In a re-arranged match Littleton just beat Andover B 52-48, Oakley Buzzards saw off Alton 45-40 and Andover B drew with Hyde Abbey A 43-43, with the Abbey taking three points.
Division Two leaders are now Town’s Diamonds after they crushed last week’s top team Marnell Blues 61-34 away.
Andover A have moved up to third with a one point win over Hyde Abbey B 50-49.
Whitchurch Yellows just beat strugglers Hook Hares 46-40 and St Mary Bourne Hawks pushed Alton Social next to bottom with a 50-38 win.
In Division Three, St Mary Bourne Eagles beat Oakley Kingfishers 62-34 and now hold a three and a half point lead over Old Basing Roundheads who lost to Town’s Jokers 49-43.
Whitchurch Blues are third having beaten Hook Foxes 47-34.
Oakley Woodpeckers displaced Thornycroft at the top of Division Four, after beating Kingsclere Pheasants 45-38, whilst Thorny went down at Old Basing Royalists 68-48.
Howard Park B beat Littleton Lions 53-37, Oakley Kites enjoyed a 37-19 victory over Marnell Greens and in a previous re-arranged match Marnell Greens beat Kingsclere Pheasants 53-47.
Kingsclere maintained their lead in Division One of the District League by overcoming Howard Park 60-53. Alton Social got back to winning ways crushing Basingstoke Town 64-35.
Oakley have moved fourth after beating Whitchurch 57-48.
Unbeaten Alton continue to lead Division Two with a comprehensive win over St Mary Bourne 80-33.
Oakley B are second following their win against Town B 65-43. The other match played saw Hook beat Thornycroft 68-48.
