HOOK and Newnham Basics recorded their first win of the season in the Southern League Division One, with a superb 132 run success at OTs and Romsey.
The visitors put into bat were all out for 225 with Jordan Hobday the top scorer with a fine 65.
This proved to be enough runs as the home side were bowled out for 93 in the 36th over, despite opener Charlie King scoring a half century.
Kevin Poulter (4-20) was the top Hook bowler and was well supported by Anik Divecha (2-23), Rhodes Franklin (2-23) and Ben Thane (1-1).
Hook will hope to continue their winning run, when they entertain second placed Liphook and Ripsley next weekend.
