AFFINI Technology won their Bernard Cornish Cup semi-final tie 3-2 at UWS, ending the hosts' run of five home wins.

They will face North Warnborough Reserves or Bramley United in the final, whose tie was called off last Sunday due to a waterlogged pitch and they will try again this weekend.

Soldiers Return started their Basingstoke and District Division One match against visitors Wheatsheaf with a strong wind in their favour and led 4-2 at the break.

Matt Love netted the Soldiers' first and 10 minutes later, Warren Hill's free-kick was converted by Freddie Cloke with a diving header.

Cloke then added a third, before Wheatsheaf replied from the penalty spot.

Cobi Judd restored Soldier's three-goal cushion and then Wheatsheaf made it 4-2 at the break.

After the interval, Cloke completed his hat-trick and Love got his second, to secure the points as led 6-2, before Wheatsheaf scored a couple of late goals.

In Division Two, Chineham beat Revolution 3-1, with a brace from Kieron Alleyne and Jamie Dockree, while Scott King scored on his debut for Revolution.

The result lifted Chineham from seventh to fourth, just three points behind the leaders.

This title is still wide open as only five points separates the top eight teams.

There was no score in the first half-hour between Eastrop Eagles and Hampshire Irons, but then three were scored before the interval.

Irons opened their account after a Simon Head free-kick was headed down by Jack Miller for Tom Chant to slide in.

This lead was soon doubled when Mike Pemberton lobbed to James Arnold, who took his chance well.

Hosts Eastrop reduced the deficit to 2-1 before the interval, as Dan Davies netted from close range.

An Irons' win would have lifted them from sixth to third, but Irons' Bobbi Frost equalised with a volley from 20 yards to share the points, leaving both sides in mid-table.

The bottom two sides in the division, Team and North Warnborough, met for the third time this season.

Team were rampant 3-0 up after 10 minutes, before the visitors woke up.

Tom Davies' first attempt to get 'Borough back in the game was disallowed, but he went on to score legitimately, to make it 3-1 at half-time.

After the break, Team scored three more goals for a 6-1 win which was Team's third victory over North Warnborough this season.

Only one match was played in Division Three, where Basingstoke Saints Reserves went down 6-2 to Chineham Reserves.

Jamie Larkin and Karl Jones netted for Saints, while Joe West, Stuart Murfitt and braces from Jordan Plenderleith and David Williamson extended Chineham's winning run to four on the trot. This leaves them three points behind second place.
