BASINGSTOKE Town are on the quest of another FA Cup giant killing when they travel to League Two Cambridge United this Saturday (3pm).

The Dragons sent National League side Torquay United crashing out of the competition in the last round soundly beating them 3-0.

They will now look to do the same again this weekend at Cambridge and manager Jason Bristow is really keen for his side to go further then last year, when they were knocked out after a first round replay at Telford.

Bristow said: “There is no pressure on us, but we are not just going to enjoy the occasion. We want to win the game and get into the next round.”

“We know it is going to be a tough game, but we want to do ourselves proud and make sure all the fans that travel have a great day out as well.”

The whole Basingstoke squad will travel up on Friday night, which is the ideal preparation for their biggest game of the season so far.

Chris Flood will be looking to add to the six goals he has already scored in the FA Cup this season.

The striker netted twice against Torquay in the last round and Town at the moment are in great goal scoring form having bagged 14 goals in their last five games.

Flood will no doubt be a marked man at Cambridge as the League Two look stop the forward adding to his impressive tally so far.

Basingstoke Town manager Jason Bristow is delighted with the form of his striker during this campaign and said: "Chris is having a great season for us and works really hard for the team in ever game. I am sure it will be one of the players Cambridge will be looking to stop."

Bristow has a full squad to pick from expect for Jamie Brown , but is unsure what to expect from Cambridge.

The League Two side sacked their manager Richard Money at the beginning of the week.

This was after they lost 2-1 to Bristol Rovers on Friday night.

Money was shown the door and assistant manager Joe Dunne is now expected to be in charge for the FA Cup tie against Basingstoke.

Bristow said: "We had Cambridge watched and they are very direct side, but of course this could all change now as they have a new man in charge.

"They might no even play the same players, as they have a big squad to pick from."

It should now really matter, as the the Dragons are sure to want to roar into the second round for the first time since 2006.

That year, they beat league side Chesterfield thanks to a 1-0 victory, before losing out to Aldershot after a replay.
