FATHER and son duo Rob and Ricky Collard have plenty to race for during the final event of the British Touring Car Championship this weekend.

Rob sits 10th in the BTCC standings heading into Sunday’s final races of the season at Brands Hatch, while his son, Ricky, is in with an outside chance of winning the MSA Formula title.

Rob has amassed 205 points so far this season.

He is just two points behind the ninth-placed man, with only 21 points separating him and the driver in seventh place.

This weekend’s meeting is the series’ second visit to Brands Hatch this season.

The first meeting of the year also took place at the Kent track, using the shorter Indy circuit.

Collard has good memories of the venue, as he won race one back in April.

Ricky goes into the last three races of the season second in the MSA Formula championship, just 13 points behind leader Lando Norris.

With 25 points available to the winner of each race, he remains very much in the title hunt.

Like his father, Ricky also claimed a race victory when the championship visited Brands Hatch earlier in the season.
