AN ELATED Dusan Tadic reckons that if Saints can perform like they did at Chelsea they can beat anyone in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old Serbian helped torment the top-flight champions as Steven Davis, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle scored to seal a memorable 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Tadic hailed the belief that Saints had to come from behind, after Willian’s opening goal, to record their first win at the London club since 2002.

“Yes, very good victory for us,” Tadic said. “It was important.

“It was a really open game and I think we show second-half how we can play good football and in the end we deserved to win.”

The attacking midfielder believes that Davis’ goal just before half-time – his first in more than 60 games – to level to the score was vital in Ronald Koeman’s side launching themselves to victory.

“That was a really important goal,” he said.

“But also I think just the way how we play was really important, because if we keep playing like this we can beat everyone.”

Daily Echo:

It was the first time since Jose Mourinho took over as Blues manager that an opposing team had scored three against his side at home.

Tadic had a glorious opportunity to make it four late on but was denied by a last-ditch block by John Terry.

“You just need to believe in your skills and your team and I think we show that,” he said.

“We have some more chances and we showed second-half that we want to win and this was difference.”

Koeman hailed Saints’ display as “perfect” as Saints picked up their first win on the road this Premier League campaign.

The Dutch boss, however, was a man of few words at half-time.

“Nothing,” Tadic said, when asked what Koeman said to rally his troops at the interval.

“(He said) just keep doing the things you’ve been doing and don’t give them space and that, you know, because they have great players and if you give them a lot of space they can be really dangerous.”

Tadic was pleased to a play part in a moment of history as Saints recorded their first win at Stamford Bridge in 13 years.

“That’s really nice, you always going to remember this win,” he said. “But what I say, we just need to keep doing the same things then, this is how we need to play (every week).”
