BRIGHTON HILL masters swimmer Morris Dick collected six gold medals and also a British record at the British Masters Championships held at Manchester’s Commonwealth 50m pool.

The 73-year-old produced his triple whammy in his specialist event, the breaststroke, and then added another hat-trick of first places in three relays with his Spencer team.

In a packed schedule, Dick opened things up with victory as part of the men’s 4x100 metres medley relay team.

The following day, the morning session saw him add another relay gold in the men’s 4x50m event.

He then turned his attentions to individual matters and in the afternoon won the 100m breaststroke and the evening the 50m breaststroke.

The final day of competition opened with a bang as he was part of the 280 years group mixed 4x100m team that smashed the British record by 17 seconds, recording a combined time of 6min 18.80sec.

Dick collected his sixth gold medal at Manchester on Sunday afternoon, thanks to a triumph in the 200m breaststroke.
