BASINGSTOKE and North Hants captain Chris Froud admitted it is frustrating times at the moment for his side, despite the fact they have opened their season with three straight wins in the Southern League Division One.
The Bountymen have made hard work of the hat-trick of victories and Froud said: "We are just getting over the line at the moment and we know as a team there are things we need to improve on, which makes it frustrating for us."
This weekend, Basingstoke restricted visiting Totton and Eling to 177, but then only got home with 11 balls to spare.
Froud said: "I would have batted first if I won the toss, but when we got out there it proved to me difficult than we expected, but we have won again and have to be pleased with that."
This week third placed Basingstoke travel to newly promoted Rowledge and Chris Oliver misses the trip and so Froud is looking to bring in another middle order batsman.
Dean Nurse looks the most likely candidate having top scored for the second XI in their last two games.
Looking ahead to the game Froud said: "We are looking to keep our winning run going, but know it is going to be easy there."
