ADVENTURE AS went to Billhook Lake on Sunday last, where Dave Hathaway top scored with 112lb 10oz of carp caught on the method feeder. Rob Gallagher found 108lb 8oz of carp, again on the method and pellet.

Match secretary Nick Sargent’s 101lb 14oz was a method and two plus two approach, while Steve Davis used pole and meat for his 84lb 12oz.

Kennet Ospreys were at Gold Valley’s Syndicate Lake last Sunday, and it was Mark (Red) Funnel who steamed into first place with 63lb 4oz of bomb and pellet caught carp. Phil Rogers took second spot with 41lb 8oz of wag and feeder caught carp. Tony Clawson used bomb and pellet for his 40lb 1oz, followed by Graham Shadwell’s 37lb 14oz.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials were at Cheriton Farm for their latest match, and I managed to fluke a win with 42lb 4oz of carp on pole, soft pellet and maggot. Rob Carr (superstar) made second with an even 33lb on pole and mag. Paul Upton came next with 25lb 8oz, followed by George Ramsey on 24lb 8oz.

Sixteen fished and one did not weigh.

Camrose went to Old Barlows last Sunday, and Bill Atkinson topped out on 15lb 9oz. Darren Brown made second with 15lb 8oz, followed by Brian Orchard on 10lb 2oz and John Timney with 5lb 15oz.

Staceys match group’s latest fixture at Cheriton Farm put Steve Davis in top spot with 70lb 12oz on two plus two and maggot. Staceys supremo Keith Brown’s 50lb 8oz was a feeder and margin caught affair. Matthew Butler’s 42lb of carp fell to pole and maggot, while Scott Butler’s 37lb 6oz was a pole and banded pellet jobby.

Camrose AC went to Spectacle Lake last week, where Pete Morris won with 13lb 2oz of carp on pole and mag. Les Partridge caught 12lb 13oz, two carp on pole and corn. Bill Atkinson’s 10lb 2oz was next, followed by Paul Hunt and Tony Holdsworth with 9lb 8oz apiece.

Kennet Ospreys went to Bowsaw, where Mick Howells topped out with 127lb of carp on pellet waggler and feeder. Steve Hunt’s 102lb 10oz of carp was a method and corn affair. Steve Telford’s 95lb came next, followed by Andy Leith’s 89lb.

Adventure’s match at Greenridge Farm put Jake Gallagher on pole with 96lb of carp. Mick Fordham came second with 77lb 8oz. Darren Wright’s 54lb was next, followed by Rob Gallagher’s 53lb 12oz.

My house overflow is running and ’er indoors won’t go into the loft to fix the problem. She says there might be creatures up there, so it will have to run until I get some counselling for her.
