HAMILTON look set to finally complete the signing of Portuguese striker Marco Paixao.
Marco's twin brother Flavio made his debut for Accies in Saturday's SPL defeat at Kilmarnock.
But the New Douglas outfit failed to gain clearance in time for his 24-year-old sibling to play after he left former club Deportivo Leonesa.
However, Accies secretary Scott Struthers said: "We had signed Marco in good faith, but then it turned out they had activated an option on his contract which he was not aware of.
"That was the main problem, but it can be done this week. It really needs a fresh application because his first full contract is null and void.
"The clearance didn't come through, but if I know Marco is now free then I can do up a fresh contract."
Marco, who watched brother Flavio star in the 3-0 Rugby Park defeat, said: "I've spoken with the federation and the president of the club so hopefully I will be able to sign this week."
Meanwhile, Accies will carry the name of radio station Real Radio on the backs of their shirts.
