THREE designer fashion stores are to open their first Scottish branches in Glasgow.

International jewellery and handbag store Folli Follie, celeb favourite clothing brand Henleys, and PULP, a shop which sells music-inspired fashion' will all have units at the revamped St Enoch Centre.

Greek chain Folli Follie has stores in 25 countries around the world including in prestigious locations such as New York's Madison Avenue, Harrods in London andDubai. It also owns popular jewellery firm Links of London which has two outlets in Glasgow.

Xenia Carr-Griffiths, the firm's president for Europe, Middle East and Africa said: "Glasgow is a superb shopping destination and an ideal location."

Henleys started selling sporty-inspired denim, jackets and T-shirts in 1996 and has 10 stores across England.

Celeb fans include MoBO award-winning R&B group N-Dubz.

A spokeswoman said: "St Enoch gives us an excellent opportunity in the heart of Glasgow to grow our brand."

Nottingham-based firm PULP sells clothes, music, movies, books and band merchandise.

The deals are the latest coup for the 20-year-old mall in the middle of a £100million revamp to enable it to compete with out-of-town outlets.

As revealed in the Evening Times, the world's biggest toy shop, Hamleys, will have a huge unit in the new part of the centre, due to be unveiled in October.

Fashion giant H&M will also move into a three-level space close to the centre's St Enoch Square entrance.

Richard Kingston, vice president of leasing at St Enoch centre owners Ivanhoe Cambridge said: "The brands have been attracted by St Enoch's convincing concept, and have signed up knowing the centre is the perfect location in the 'golden Z' of Sauchiehall, Buchanan and Argyle Streets."
