CORONERS say release of Michael Jackson's post-mortem results will be delayed.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office had said they were going to release the results this week but Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said today the announcement will probably not come until next week.

Mr Winter did not discuss reasons for the delay. Jackson died on June 25.

A law enforcement official has said investigators are working under the theory that the powerful anaesthetic propofol caused Jackson's heart to stop.

Meanwhile, Jackson's personal chef has told how, on the day he died, her first hint something was amiss was when his doctor, whose office has been raided, did not come downstairs to get Jackson's breakfast.

Kai Chase, a professionally trained chef hired by Jackson to maintain a healthy diet, recalled the singer's final days.
