CAROLINA: The five-year-old son of singer James Brown and his partner Tomi Rae Hynie has been left out of his will.

Lawyers for the Godfather of Soul say the will provides for six children, but Hynie's son, James Jr, is not one of those listed in the document.

The will was read yesterday in Aiken, South Carolina, but has not been filed in probate court, said one of Brown's lawyers, Buddy Dallas.

Brown, 73, died on Christmas morning. The gates to his home were locked after his death until lawyers could get his legal affairs in order.
