CHARITY bosses have joined forces with Holyrood to give young people a political voice.
Roars Not Whispers, a project run by Oxfam and the Scottish Youth Parliament, is seeking young Scots from around the country to get involved in making change happen.
The project will work with young people from every local authority area, to give them the confidence and skills to make a difference about the things which matter to them.
The project's application process is now open for people aged between 16 and 25 living in North Ayrshire, Renfrewshire and North Lanarkshire.
Youngsters from other areas - including Glasgow, South Lanarkshire, Inverclyde, South Ayrshire and Argyll and Bute - will be invited to apply later in the New Year.
Hilary Lynn, vice-chairwoman of the Scottish Youth Parliament, said: "You don't need any special skills, except enthusiasm and a willingness to commit time regularly over the next year."
Young people interested in joining the project can e-mail info@rnw.org.uk The closing date for applications for the first local authority areas involved is January 10.
