Basingstoke and North Hants youngsters reach indoor play-offs
BASINGSTOKE and North Hants have scrambled rather unimpressively into their fifth successive NatWest Under-16 Indoor Cricket League Championship play-offs.
They knocked Parley’s A side out of the running with a two-wicket win off the penultimate ball at the Ageas Bowl, where left-hander Matt Deadman was the hero.
Basingstoke then lost to Bourne-mouth by two wickets, but they were already assured of a top-four finish.

Basingstoke 117-2 (Neal 27no, Deadman 26, Coombs 26no) Bournemouth 119-4 (Jones 34, Oates 2-26)
Parley A 131-4 (Hopkins 33no, Neal 2-28) Basingstoke 133-4 (Deadman 32no).
