Win shared at cycling time-trial
VISITING riders Nick Onslow and Tom Lane shared victory in North Hampshire Road Club’s first time trial of the 2015 season.
A group of 20 hardy riders rode two laps of a 5.4mile circuit based at Mortimer on Saturday afternoon, with Onslow (Newbury RC) and Lane (Blazing Saddles) sharing first place in a finishing time of 25min 37sec.
North Hampshire’s Phil Watts was third in 26:00, with another home rider, Alex Cross, the fastest juvenile rider in 28:22.
Mandy Hibbard was the quickest lady, completing the 10.8m course in 30:16.
