THE Abacus Employment-Services-sponsored Hatch Warren Phoenix under-13 Pumas came from behind to win 4-2 at Shipton Bellinger and remain unbeaten in the Testway League.

In an even opening, Sheldon Wright buried a fine effort from just outside the box, but by half-time the home side had hit back to lead 2-1.

The Pumas had the wind behind them in the second half and switched to a 4-5-1 formation.

Charlie Pickering had a couple of chances saved, before Harry O’Connor struck the equaliser.

Bailey Fuller then put the Hatch Warren side ahead and this was quickly followed by a fourth by O’Connor.

Bailey Bavister was the Pumas’ man-of-the-match for a faultless display at right back.

The team also enjoyed a big victory in the North East Hampshire League, beating Wey Valley Warriors 8-2.

Even though the sides were close together in the league standings, this did not manifest itself on the day as Hatch Warren gained control and were camped in the opposition’s third for the first 15 minutes.

By half-time they had made the pressure pay as they led 5-1, before adding three more goals after the break.

Liam Riley led the scoring with a hat-trick, while Simon Parker helped himself to a brace and there were single strikes from Aime Shuri, Jake Darlow and O’Connor.
