NORTH Warnborough reached the second round of the North Hants Junior Cup with a 5-3 victory over Sherborne St John Reserves.
Goals from brothers Connor and Jake Perrin had Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division Two side Sherborne in control, but Charlie Harding reduced the arrears before half-time.
Ibrahim Waheed lobbed the goalkeeper to make it 3-1 early in the second half, but goals from Jason Williams and Peter Hodgson had North Warnborough level, with further strikes from Kieran Perry and Ryan Thorpe putting them through.
Overton United A progressed with a 4-3 victory over Reading League outfit Baughurst AFC.
Baughurst took an early lead, but goals from Nathan Bennis and John Gurney had Overton in front. Baughurst levelled for a second time, but Sianni Thomas restored the Overton lead and Gus Reis added a fourth to see Overton through, despite a late rally from the visitors.
Basingstoke Labour Club went down 2-0 away at Kings Somborne, conceding a goal in either half.
