ANDOVER A completed their victorious season in Basingstoke and District Tennis League Ladies Division One by beating Aldermaston A 5-3, thanks to a maximum from Claire Coomber and Fay Fradgly.

 Old Basing A beat Goodworth Clatford B 7-1, with Penny Luke and Lisa Allen being unbeaten, while Overton and Goodworth Clatford B got their first points of the season by playing out a draw. Lucy Battersby and Zoe Taylor won all of their sets for Overton.

Mortimer A and Aldermaston B finished level on points and sets won in Division Two, with Mortimer taking the title thanks to their victory when the sides met earlier in the year.

Mortimer finished with an 8-0 win against Winchester thanks to the team of Helen Townsend/Jo Jones and Michelle Goulding/Sarah Paul, and draws against Odiham and Totally Tennis.

The Odiham pair of Pam Verdon and Sue Cockroft were unbeaten in their team’s 7-1 win against Totally Tennis A. However, the Totally Tennis team of Emma Barnes/Sharon De Botte and Hilary Oliver/Stephanie Hart responded with an 8-0 win at Sherborne.

The Hampshire Court B team eventually won a hard-fought Division Three after 8-0 wins against Old Basing B and Mortimer B and a draw at Whitchurch. Tina Wood/Emma Giddings and Cra Gillam/Niki South made up their team at Old Basing.

The Andover B team of Lizzy Smith/Jane Laborda and Jenny Pope/Glenys Chambers won their final match 8-0 at Beechdown B to take the runners-up spot. Whitchurch drew with Totally Tennis B.
