Morgan Schneiderlin has been called up by France for their upcoming friendly games against Portugal and Armenia.
The midfielder, who is now a regular in his country’s squad, will join up with his international teammates after Saints’ visit to Spurs this Sunday.
France, the Euro 2016 hosts, will welcome Portugal on Saturday, October 11, before heading to Armenia on the following Tuesday.
Schneiderlin is the 11th Saints player called up this week for international duty, following on from Nathaniel Clyne, Fraser Forster, Toby Alderweireld, Steven Davis, Sadio Mane, Dusan Tadic, Maya Yoshida, Emmanuel Mayuka, Harrison Reed and Matt Targett.
Shane Long, Victor Wanyama and Florin Gardos should add to that list soon, while Jose Fonte and Graziano Pelle are hopeful of earning international calls too.
