KINGSCLERE warmed up for their return to Hampshire Two and a trip to Ventnor today with a 46-20 victory over visiting Hungerford II.
’Clere started brightly, with fly half Jeff Douglas and centre Sam Bibby both scoring. Hungerford responded quickly with a try, but the home side scored twice more from Keith Williams and centre Anders Hiscock to make it 28-10 at half-time.
Hungerford scored the first two tries after the break, but a drop goal from Andy Vaughan was followed by tries from Luke Keatley, Stuart Burns and Hiscock for a final score of 46-20.
Overton also start their Hampshire Two campaign this weekend with a trip to Southampton and, in the same division, Chineham are at home to Nomads.
