BASINGSTOKE golfer Stuart Archibald finished in a tie for 15th at The PDC and World Snooker Open at The Oxfordshire last week.
An opening round of 71 (-1) had him in contention but he fell away on days two and three, carding rounds of 72 (par) and 73 (+1) to end up on level par, eight shots behind the winner.
The result saw the 30-year-old slip one place to eighth in the EuroPro Tour Order of Merit, £4,000 outside the top-five position he needs to claim a place on the Challenge Tour for next season.
Archibald is currently in action at The Glenfarclas Open at Earl of Mar, in Scotland, the final regular-season event.
