SHANE Hollamby’s header earned Hartley Wintney an FA Cup replay last night.

Having beaten fellow Combined Counties League Premier Division side Frimley Green 2-1 on Saturday, Hartley travelled to Hellenic League Premier Division outfit Ardley United for a Preliminary Round tie last night.

Luke Walker went close in the early stages for Hartley, but they needed a fine save from goalkeeper Craig Atkinson to ensure that the tie remained goal-less at half-time.

The home side did manage to grab the lead after the break, but Hollamby’s bullet header from Nathan Nurse’s corner means that the sides will meet again at the Memorial Ground next Tuesday.

A trip to Slough Town in the First Qualifying Round is the prize on offer to the winners.

Before that game, Hartley are in FA Vase action on Saturday, hosting another Hellenic League Premier Division side in Holyport. The club’s Hampshire Senior Cup tie against Andover New Street has been put back to September 16 as a result of their cup exploits.
