Basingstoke Town 1 Ebbsfleet 0

Town had the better of the first 45 minutes and Ebbsfleet after the break, but the home side will take the win.

Join John next week for the game at Bishop's Strotford. For me it is the start of the rugby season with Basingstoke and then the Bison - feel free to tune in.

90 +3 Clark is booked for push on Macklin and Town eat up more time with a corner.

90 + 2 Bignall shoots wide when should have hit the target.

90 Cook's shot pushed over - Town really under pressure and five minutes left.

Final minute can Town hang on as Ebbsfleet launch balls forward.

83 Town's second change as Enver-Marum is replaced by Macklin.

80 Bignall fires just wide

Ebbsfleet now with three up top and Town may have to look to bring on Rice to settle the ship.

78 Howe booked for challenge on Dunn.

75 Second change for Ebbsfleet as Charlie Sheringham son of Teddy takes over from Fraser.

72 First change for Town Flood is replaced by Bignall. Lets hope he helps Town get a second goal as they need it.

71 Ebbsfleet's McMahon thumping shot off crossbar.

66 Enver-Marum is booked for the third home game on the trot for an arm up on Huke who takes out Williams and there is no card.

63 Ebbsfleet are forced to make the first change as Sessegnon limps off and is replaced by Huke, who slots into the back four.

56 Ebbsfleet captain McMahon fires over as the visitors look the better side.

53 McAuley's drive brings shouts of hand ball from fans and players, but the ref waves the penalty claims away.

49 Shouts for a penalty as Fraser is clipped outside the area by Wiiliams, but falls in the area. This came from a needlessly given away corner by Bird.

From the free-kick Bird heads away.

Town kick-off the second half towards the club house.

At the end of eight kicks the Green Army score nil!!

Crossbar challenge going on at the moment in the interval.

Basingstoke Town 1 Ebbsfleet United 0

Town had the better of the opening 45 minutes, but should be more than one goal ahead. Ebbsfleet still look dangerous so there is still plenty to come in this game.

44 Fraser is booked for challenge on Dunn

41 A rare Ebbsfleet chance, but Moore makes a fine save to pugs over Matt Johnson's snapshot.

36 A backward header from Gasson from Bird's corner is headed over by Acheampong and the next corner is cleared.

31 Enver-Marum should have made it 2-0, but scuffs his shot after a nice interchange of passes with Williams. it goes inches wide.

23 Basingstoke Town 1 Ebbsfleet United 0 (Shaun McAuley)

A super strike from McAuley as he spots the goalie off his line and beats him to his near post with a 30-yard free-kick.

20 Bricknell's header from Cook's cross crashes off the Town bar.

16 - Acheampong has a shot, but it is an easy catch for Town's Moore.

12 - Ebbsfleet have a corner which did not look to be one as the assistant guessed. Comes to nothing.

10 - Gasson's header is cleared off the line from another corner this time from Bird.

8- Flood goes cliose his shot is blocked. Then a nice run from Smart down the right forces a corner, which is cleared.

6 - Ray just fails to get a touch on a McAuley corner as he dives full length.

Fast tempo to start with Ebbsfleet looking very sharp.

Ebbsfleet kick-off towards the clubhouse.

Town line up as Stuart Moore, Nathan Smart, Tom Bird, Louie Soares, Jay Gasson, David Ray, Simon Dunn, Shaun McAuley, Liam Enver-Marum, Chris Flood, Manny Williams. Subs: Rob Rice, Andrew Jenkinson, Lloyd Macklin, Nicholas Bignall, Sam Argent.

Ebbsfleet are as follows Preston Edwards, Chris Sessegnon, Joe Howe, Daryl McMahon, Anthony Acheampong, Kenny Clark, Matt Johnson, Tommy Fraser, Matt Godden, Billy Bricknell, Anthony Cook. Subs: Shane  Huke, Charlie Sheringham, Alex Osborn, Dean Rance, Brandon Hall.

Good afternoon from the Soccer AM Stadium as Basingstoke Town takes on Ebbsfleet United.

Town are fourth in the table, but looking to bounce back after defeat at Farnborough. They have the same starting XI.

Ebbsfleet are eighth at the moment so I am predicting a draw again
