HARTLEY Wintney’s promotion hopes were dented as they lost by 86 runs at Havant II on Saturday.
The home side managed to score 197-9 in their 50 overs thanks to half centuries from Simon Loat and Gareth Ransley.
Mark Teale (4-40) and Jack Hersh (3-34) were the pick of the Hartley bowlers.
The visitors’ reply never really got going as they were all out for 111 with Ari Karvelas scoring 40 and Phil Loat taking 5-32.
The loss saw them slip to fourth in the Southern League Division Two table and this week they will entertain third place side Calmore Sports.
