Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino believes he has an ''unbelievable squad'', but refused to be drawn on any attempt to recruit Morgan Schneiderlin from Saints.

French midfielder Schneiderlin is determined to join his former manager at White Hart Lane, yet St Mary's chiefs insists he will not be sold.

Pochettino has already brought in the likes of goalkeeper Michael Vorm and defenders Ben Davies and Eric Dier - signings the Argentinian feels can help the north London club in their quest to break back into the Barclays Premier League's top four.

''It (new signings) is not my concern. I think we have an unbelievable squad,'' said the Tottenham manager.

''Last season the club made a big investment and they signed unbelievable players. The most important thing is to develop our players and to provide the best team to play on the pitch.''

When pressed on Schneiderlin, the former Saints boss said: ''No, it is not my style to speak about a player from another club, I don't like that.

''I have full respect for all of them and I have nothing to say.''

Morgan is a class player and along with J-Rod were arguably our best two last season so I think it is imperative that we keep them.

If we now sign another top quality CB like Phillip Wollscheid or Ron Vlaar who are both rumored targets PLUS a proven Goalscorer and fast winger with a good cross, then we will have improved and looking for a top six spot. I would still like us to sign Jordy Classie to put pressure on Morgan to perform and earn his place.

I think Morgan & J-Rod would then consider staying as we would be showing the ambition that they are concerned about.

Sign an improved contract Morgan and get your head together, if you play well Saints could finish above Spurs anyway.

Why do we show such respect for a guy that **** off and left us in the lurch, unsettled our whole playing staff along the way, ruined our only rout to Europe by not taking the Sunderland game seriously, couldn't show our club/fans the respect of talking in our language but has done so ever since he has been a spurs, has been actively tapping up players since he has gone?

Apart from that I love him.

The situation with Morgan needs to be settled quickly before it unsettles things so tell him he can leave if a high enough bit is made.
Let Spurs & Arsenal know that the asking price is £25m take it or leave it.
The reported £15m is not enough for a player of his quality as it is not in Saints best interest to sell him.

Pinchatinny has intimated in other reported sources that his spending is done for this pre-season. Maybe the chairman has reined him in. Maybe he's telling porkies (I suspect he's quite capable of that)

I think Freddie and Rambo have settled the situation already by stating in no uncertain terms he is not leaving this summer.

Could be all smoke and mirrors and playing poker of course, and if the right money and/or player is thrown into the deal he might go. Who knows. What is for sure though is that for the time being no offer has been made which has tempted Saints to show their cards and that's the way it should continue. Not for sale until a price just too good to say no to is offered.

In the meantime Spyder has an adult decision to make. To make the best of what he has and continue being professional and thereby more marketable and able to command a greater wage or sit and sulk and go down in everyone's estimation including the club managers currently desirous of having him in their squads. The ball is clearly in Spyders bank account.
