EMMA Croker is preparing to play in the Women's Rugby World Cup final on Sunday after helping England to a 40-7 semi-final victory over Ireland.

Hooker Croker, the wife of former Basingstoke RFC director of rugby James, came on as a 63rd minute replacement in yesterday's semi but will be hoping to play from the start on Sunday, when England face Canada with the world title at stake.

Two tries for Marlie Packer and further scores from Rochelle Clark, Kat Merchant and Kay Wilson saw England to a comfortable victory in Paris yesterday.

Sunday's final (kick-off 7.45pm) will be played at the same venue as the semi, Paris' Stade Jean Bouin.
