DEJAN Lovren scored after only 14 minutes of his Liverpool debut as the Reds warmed up for the Premier League opener against Saints with a 4-0 caning of Borussia Dortmund at Anfield this afternoon.
Lovren, recently signed for £20m from Saints, headed his new club's second goal at the same end in which he scored Saints' winner at the ground last September.
Liverpool went ahead early on through Daniel Sturridge, with Philip Coutinho and Jordan Henderson completing a comfortable success.
Though Adam Lallana is out injured, Liverpool brought on another ex-Saints favourite, Rickie Lambert, for his Anfield debut as a late sub.
Saints boss Ronald Koeman was among the crowd.
