SAINTS are being linked with a £9m switch for Manchester City’s forgotten midfielder Jack Rodwell.
The 23-year-old has only started seven Premier League games since a £12m move from Everton in the summer of 2012.
Rafa Benitez is reportedly also keen to add Rodwell to his Napoli squad, with West Bromwich Albion also linked.
Rodwell has won three England caps, the last during a 2-2 draw with Brazil in the summer of 2013.
Saints boss Ronald Koeman is also being linked with Manchester United wingers Wilfried Zaha or Ashley Young.
But Zaha is also wanted by QPR, West Ham and former club Crystal Palace.
Koeman, who is also keen on Norwich’s Nathan Redmond, is keen to play with wingers.
