  • "Costa my son, yes i have found a possitive in all the players leaving our club!! With the exception of one , they are just a bunch of tw@ts that claimed their loyalty to our club then leaves at the first chance they get. Our captain of last season was working out how he could leave and kissing the badge long before the season ended. I for one am glad he has left our club and as far as i'm concearned anybody that do not want to play for the SAINTS can feck off with him.
We now have to rebuild with players that want to be here and play for THE SAINTS and not the kind of players that have got above their station. MR Clattenburgh looks like he saw through Liarlana long before ANY of us SAINTS fans and i include myself ( a happy clapper as you call me ) and the doom and gloom merchants, no names needed.
The best clubs in the world can not hold onto players THAT WANT TO LEAVE. I agree that L Read has put some of the fans at war with our club but, the season does not start until AUGUST 16th 2014.
We now have a manager that is vastly better, imo , than the one that could be behind all this termile. How many games last season did we have the ball in our pocket for most of the game and still lost ??. Poochy could only play one way and his actual record shows this in percentage of wins to games played
I have only watched 45 minutes of football on my laptop of tonights game and in that time i thought we were more direct than last season. Yes i hear you shouting it was only Bournemouth for feck sake , but when the season starts proper i don't think we will be watching the same players we are now. All you doomy gloomies can THUMBS DOWN ME ALL YOU LIKE . You know what i don't give a feck.

STID ..... whatever league we play in , in 62 years off supporting THE SAINTS , i have been there, done it and got the shirt."

Liverpool have agreed a fee believed to be in the region of £20m for Saints defender Dejan Lovren.

The Croatian centre half has long been angling for a move to Anfield, after the Premier League runner-ups' interest in him was revealed.

At one point, he even threatened to not return to Staplewood following the World Cup in a bid to force through the move to Liverpool.

Manger Ronald Koeman said last week that he was prepared to let Lovren go if the Reds met Saints' asking price, as he did not want players at Southampton who did not want to be there.

He will be the third Southampton player to swap the South Coast for the North West this summer, following in the footsteps of Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana.

In total, Liverpool have paid Saints around £49m for the three players, which is half of the total outlay Brendan Rodgers has put on seven new signings.

Lovren joined Saints from French side Lyon for a fee of £8.5m last summer.

It is understood he will undergo a medical tomorrow before finalising the move.
