Everything that has happened to the club over the summer is nothing short of a joke. You simply cannot sell 4-5 of your best players whatever team you are. Difference between us and Everton is that they have ambition whereas all our ambition has completely gone. We will be lucky to finish in the top 12-14. Sorry but i'm just being a realist. As for reinvesting transfer money back into the team, we supposedly offered a derisory £3.5m for Fraser Forster who is worth at least £8m. There is no chance of us bringing in players of the quality of Lallana, Lovren, Shaw, Lambert, and maybe Shneiderlain. We certainly wont be spending anywhere near £100m+ which is what we will have received through outgoing players. I am devastated that we have gone from having a fantastic young team capable of breaking into the top 6 with one or two additions, to a team who will be lucky to finish mid-table. Love him or hate him Cortese leaving was the worst thing that could have happened to our club and he would never have allowed any of this to happen. Sorry but the current board is clueless. Cortese had a vision which all the players including Lallana, Lovren etc believed in. He was also signing us these quality players due to the ambition he had for the club. Shame Katherina doesn't share this ambition. Completely and utterly disappointed as this could have been our best ever chance to compete with the top six. The fact that Liverpool have bought 4 of our players and Manchester United have bought one of our players with teams such as Arsenal still wanting to buy players that are left tells it's on story in terms of what this team could have achieved. This has all happened since Cortese left and that is a fact." Your name Your email Reason Please note we will not accept reports with HTML tags or URLs in them.
