THE Vyne Community School were crowned Year 9/10 Basingstoke District Schools champions after they beat Fort Hill Community School by nine wickets in the final at May’s Bounty.
The Vyne won the toss, decided to bowl. Jake Fincken (2-16), Liam Doran (1-3) and Shay Bradley (3-10) kept Fort Hill in check as they scored of 86-9 from their 20 overs, with Harry Nicoll (24) top scoring.
In reply, The Vyne started slowly, with some tight bowling from Adam Warner and Reuben Staniland, but they soon picked up the pace to win the game in the 13th over.
Bradley top scored as he retired on 25 not out, and was well supported by unbeaten knocks from Doran (21) and Fincken (18).
