FINCH Group Guy Jewell Cup holders Yateley booked their place in the quarter-finals thanks to a 147-run victory over St Mary’s on Tuesday night.
Yateley scored 222-1, with James Halson (118 not out) their top scorer. St Mary’s made 75-5 thanks to Tom Lee’s unbeaten 41.
Ropley take on Eversley tonight at May’s Bounty and there are four games next week in the competition, starting on Monday, when Stratfield Turgis take on Basingstoke Hockey Club.
Yateley face Hartley Wintney in a quarter-final on Tuesday and two days later Basingstoke and Hook lock horns at the same stage of the competition.
On Wednesday night, there is a Plate semi-final game between Ramsdell and Sherfield-on-Loddon.
