MFC Popley Youth have been named Charter Standard Club of the Year in the FA McDonald’s Community Awards section at the Hampshire FA Grassroots Football Awards 2014 at St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton.
MFC is a Charter Standard (FA kitemark of excellence) Club and was described as dedicated to coaching children of all ages and backgrounds to play football.
Chairman Ian Davies said: “We at MFC are rightly proud to receive this prestigious award. Since our launch in 2005, the club has grown to be the leading youth football club in the county.
“We have players from Year R to Year 11 all benefitting from our state-of-the-art kit and equipment and coaching from our 15 FA-qualified coaches.”
