HARTLEY Wintney kept themselves firmly in the Southern League Division Two promotion hunt, after they ended Rowledge’s 100 per cent record.
The leaders had been looking to make it seven straight wins, but it was not to be, as visiting Hartley won by two wickets.
The home side batted first and made 226-9 from their 50 overs, as Ryan Felsch top scored with 70.
Mark Teale (2-25) was the pick of the bowlers, while Ari Karvelas also took a couple of wickets.
The Hartley reply overcame the early loss of Matt Kerr, as Jack Hersh (40) and Danny Plume (64) added 83 for the second wicket.
This built the foundation for the victory and Jamie Teale coming in at number seven hit a fine 57.
At the end, Jack Cockram, in his last game before returning to Australia, was unbeaten on 22 as Hartley reached their target with three overs to spare.
This weekend, Hartley are home to Langley Manor looking to complete their first double of the season.
