The Daily Mirror and The Sun say that Ronald Koeman has identified Colombia’s left-back Pablo Armero, who plays for Udinese, as the replacement for Luke Shaw.
They claim that Armero, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, will be the subject of a £5m bid from Saints.
Elsewhere, the Daily Mail report that the club are poised to make an £8m offer for Cardiff keeper David Marshall, although they say the Bluebirds value him at closer to £15m.
If that fails, the Mail reckon Saints will take a look at Celtic’s Fraser Forster, having supposedly already enquired about his price.
