KINGSCLERE Quails have strengthened their lead at the top of Whitchurch League Division One after a 69-31 victory over Alton Social.

Littleton Leopards stay second following a close win over Oakley A 44-41.

Basingstoke Town Spades match was postponed but they hold onto third place. Howard Park A enjoyed success at St Mary Bourne 50-44 and Hyde Abbey won a thriller at Alton 47-45.

Whitchurch Yellows still lead in Division Two, despite losing to visiting Hook Hares 54-46.

The Blacks team moved into second after a 69-43 win over Andover A.

Old Basing Cavaliers saw off Oakley B 55-41 and St Mary Bourne Eagles beat Howard Park C 63-35.

Basingstoke Diamonds increased their lead in Division Three to 12 points after they clobbered Hook Foxes 69-36.

Kingsclere Partridges stay second after beating Old Basing Roundheads 44-39. Town’s Jokers narrowly lost at home to Marnell A 45-43 and Thornycroft A won at Friary 58-38.

Andover C still lead Division Four although they had a bye but Littleton Lemurs jumped into second place after defeating Oakley C 49-43.

Bottom team Howard Park B won the basement battle with Kingsclere Pheasants 61-46 keeping their hopes of moving up the table. Hyde Abbey B beat Old Basing Royalists 56-38.

In the Stan Hardman League there were wins for AWRE, Hook Diamonds, Fleet Cygnets and Odiham D in the Central Division.

Cove continues to boss the Eastern Division and local side Hook Emeralds went down at home to Farnborough Gate.

Hook Sapphires would appear to be running away with the Southern division as they are 15 points clear of Alton.

Medstead continue to lead the Western division with Kingsclere and Whitchurch close behind.

The semi-finals of the Gazette Cup will be between Whitchurch and Thornycroft, while Oakley take on Alton Social.

Matches will to be played on July 20 at Oakley, which seems somewhat bizarre as Oakley are still in the competition.

Three more matches have been played involving Loddon Vale were involved in three matches and the first saw them beat Camberley 109-92.

Vale winning rinks being skipped by Graham Bennett (25-9), Graham Jordan (16-10), Steve Foyle (28-12) and Fred Goddard (16-13).

The losing rinks were Ian Laming (28-5) and John Holmes (20-19).

Last Saturday, Vale went down to Chawton Park 98-90. The three winning rinks were Sheila Girle (23-12), Judy Foyle (19-10) and Mark Rayner (15-13).

The three losing rinks were skipped by Ellen Morton (17-12), Graham Jordan (19-12) and Steve Foyle (27-9).

The following day they played their annual match at Oakley and went down 137-76. Graham Jordan (18-15) was the only winning rink.
