CHRIS Wood and Sherborne St John-based Ryan Murray were unable to help Hampshire Academy into the last eight of the Southern Electric t20 Cup, as they lost by eight runs at home to South Wilts.
The visitors scored 125-8 from their 20 overs, with Wood (2-11) and Murray (1-38) opening the bowling.
The Academy could only muster 117-7 in reply, with Wood trapped leg before wicket first ball.
Liam Dawson’s return from injury did not go as planned as he scored just one.
