Adam Lallana’s Liverpool move is still on despite a delay in the announcement.

The Saints skipper is expected to confirm his £25m move to Anfield today after 14 years as a Saints player.

The official announcement had been due yesterday but was delayed.

However, the Daily Echo understands there has not been a stumbling block or hitch in negotiations and that the deal is still expected go through with Lallana having gone off on holiday last night with the move finalised.

Lallana will become the second Saints star to move to Liverpool this summer, following Rickie Lambert to Anfield.

Saints are also expected to confirm Sammy Lee and Dave Watson will join their coaching staff.

The club have agreed a deal with Norwich to enable Watson to join them immediately.

It will mean Ronald Koeman’s coaching staff, who welcome back the players to Staplewood today will consist of his brother Erwin, Jan Kluitenberg, Lee and Watson.

Internal appointments are also expected to fill the void left by the dismissals of Jason Dodd and Paul Williams, who were running the under-18 side.
