A QUARTET of professionals shared first place at the Weybrook Park Pro-Am.

Worting golfer Stuart Archibald (Blackmoor) claimed a share of the top prize in his first outing on the Hampshire PGA tour, shooting a one-under-par round of 71 to finish level with James Ablett (Lee-on-the-Solent), Kevin Saunders (Brockenhurst Manor) and Nick Redfern (AIA Group).

Old Basing golfer Andrew Cloke finished in a tie for eighth after shooting 74 (+2), with Dummer’s Scott Watson a further shot back in a share of 12th. Test Valley’s Claire Duffy finished 22nd, home golfers Chris Aubery and Steve Cox were 25th and Tylney Park’s Ben Cummings came 28th.

The team prize was won by Portsmouth’s David Egan, who played alongside local amateurs Paddy Flavin, Peter Nicolas and Alan Taylor.

Ablett and his team shared second place with Watson, who played alongside his son Billy, George Harris and Barry Higgins.
